trying to find info on repairing/refurbing the rear diff.

I've got whining noises and my indy has diagnosed the diff making the noises.

I can't find any decent write ups on refurbing them. Ones i've found just mention removing and changing bears and sliding back in. No mention of setting up backlash etc. Or any other issues, ie pinion bearings etc.

So 2 questions. Anyone know of decent write ups with part nos, and failing that who do you guys recommend for gearbox work?

Thanks.

My mechanic rebuilt mine when it chewed all 4 sun gears. He just fit new gears, skf bearings and seals and put the original shims back in the right place. He did it in situ and had the diff out in half an hour. Don't know if it'll be the same on a tip but can't see it being much different.
