I've been for a few years now with PH/1st Tickets & whilst we do pay more than if you booked directly & self-catered, the group I go with value convenience of well run private camping site with good catering & we also cheat slightly in that we utilise the pre-erected tent option which has saved us in the past loading wet tents into a 911 for our return trip. There are so many different ways to book etc. & don't rule out a privately run site with 24 hr security where you can bring your own tent/self-cater though have the ability to change your mind at the last minute to have the organisers provide a breakfast or evening meal if the weather turns inclement (for a small fee).

2019 will be my 7th year in a row attending...it's addictive & a great long weekend away (& I'm a relative "newbie" compared to many who go) & I've travelled over with just one friend as well as five. You meet some great people on the trip.

Heading to LeMans again this year for what must be getting on for my 30th year.

We've ended up with an extra Grandstand ticket this year due to one of our party having to change plans.

It's in Tribune 19 Lagache. Just looking for face value which is €105 = £90

Let me know if anyone's interested.

Cheers
Mark

I’m in for LeMan this year - first timer though. Booked to go on the Thursday via the tunnel and heading to the Epinettes site.

Quite looking forward to the drive down and hope to join a ”convoy” - would be good to know if anyone has a similar journey planned and knows of the scenic route Very Happy

What times the tunnel Nick ?

I’m heading out to Lemans again for what will be something like 19th year Grin

Also heading out Thurs morn (tunnel - circa 7am) and staying on Maison Blanche this year as enjoyed it for the Classic last year!

So far 2 911 turbos (96 and 97) and an e46 m3.

I also have a spare grandstand ticket for the panorama grandstand which is just by Dunlop chicane Thumb
Was about £100 and would be looking for face value.
If anyone is interested please PM thumbsup

Bring it on food food

Haven’t booked the tunnel yet but it will be early - if you’re going @ 7 that’s what I will probably do 👍🏻

You'll find me, spiderlane and new997buyer on the same camp site, but we're off Wednesday morning.

Grandstand ticket for sale - if you've not got one they're sold out so this is a good opportunity. Contact me or spiderlane.

Thumb Thumb Nice one, I think I’m going to enjoy this - have you camped at this location before? Is a GS ticket really necessary, I get the feeling I’ll be wandering around trackside at various points to get the atmosphere..

This is our 3rd year in Epinettes. we've camped in lots of different places over the years but I really like this site.

GS ticket - Being in the stand for the race start (and finish) is an electric experience not to be missed. We still wander round the circuit (e.g cycling out to Arrange at night) but mix it with time in the stand - which is opposite the pit lane so plenty of action to see in the garages.

Yeah, remember this race is 24 hours - there is loads of time to relax in the stand with a beer or two, wonder round, back to the stand for another drink, watch, perhaps a little snooze, out for some night action, bit of a kip, early back for a seat in the stand, then round the village soaking up the world before heading back to your stand for the final couple of hours.

Many thanks for your info and feedback on this Gents - greatly appreciated. Maybe a GS ticket is the way to go too, just when I’ve been to FOS etc. It’s been wasted as there is too much to see and good to get about. Have you got a pair by any Chance??

I went along last year as a passenger in a M3 with some lads from work who are LM regulars. We camped on the Porsche Curves and had a great spot very near the track. The atmosphere was fantastic. What was particularly nice was the laid back feeeling of the whole event. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and just picked out a good spot for the tents. Straight into a few beers and that was us set for the next 5 days. We wandered around loads of the circuit and spent some time in the village and pit lane. The whole experience is fantastic and I fully expect to be there with my 964 this year.
For me it’s a huge drive as I live North of Newcastle so we set off after work on Tuesday evening, Premier Inn in Dover, early ferry the next day and a canny drive through France on the Wednesday. I am quite excited at the thought of going back this year.

I agree with all of the advice above - seats opposite the pits are well with having.
I may be able to help if you need a pair. Drop me an email... https://fasttracktours.co.uk/contact/
