Geneva Motor Show 2019

We (son and myself) have been to the show for the last 5 years.

Fly out of Luton, a short undercover walk from Geneva airport to arrive at the show for about 09.00. Time for a coffee as it doesn't open until 10 weekdays.

First few hours are great but then it starts to get busy, in the past we have then used the free shuttle bus down into Geneva itself for lunch by the lake, returning to the show about 3 when its getting quiet again. Then fly back home in the evening.

Last year they were reluctant to allow re-admission back into the show so will see what our options are.

We usually get our tickets in advance, although I don't think its any quicker.

Thanks for that Pretzel

If you want to go for a Bed's pre-show beer then drop me a PM. Would be good to meet up and discuss what the best plan is, seeing that I am taking the boy I'd rather plan ahead, usually I am a 'wing it' kind of guy :thumb:

I'll drop you a PM regarding a beer, you won't have any problems with a 6 year old other than visibility around the popular exotic stands including Porsche.

There are usually a few areas downstairs by Omega watches which are quieter and have slot car (Scalextric) and simulator games etc.

Only 7 more sleeps :sleepy:

Any one else there Saturday/Sunday :?:

:thumb:

It was bloomin' gridlock over at the Pagani/Koenigsegg/Bugatti/Lambo/Bentley/Porsche section :nooo:

Why did they put all the popular supercars together :frustrated:

Will update with pics later :camera:

A few tips:

Massive super market just before you go in, buy food and water from there as it's approx EUR2 compared to EUR5 inside. Same with food/snack etc.

If you pre purchase tickets then print off the ticket with the barcode on it, not the confirmation bit as you can use this to get in.

Go later in the day rather then early as it get's less busy.

Do the 'boring' cars at busy times.

It's quite warm in there! :heat:

Worth going but I wouldn't be that bothered if I never went again, would much rather go to the V8 Hotel if I am honest :thumb:

I went last Saturday and can confirm it was both hot and incredibly busy. I was fortunate enough to get hospitality at a number of the stands which meant I could get away from the hustle and bustle for some quiet time with an endless supply of bubbles and nibbles

Last year I was there midweek and it was much quieter, easy to get around the halls unmolested with little or no queuing to see the more interesting cars. IIRC I only had to queue for the Porsche stand last year (for the lizard green rs :puh:), but I didn't think they had anything worth fighting the crowds to take a look at this time... :weed:

The Pork stand was pretty poor in my opinion

Right...here goes, these are the unedited Pork only pictures :camera:

The 919 is my boy's fave car hence the excitement on his face

Enjoy:
