I have been looking at getting some new boots for my 997.2 3.6

It seems I definitely want 235/35 R19 for the front.

There seems to be some confusion between whether to get 305/30 R19 or 295/30 R19 for the rears. The car has standard Sports Design Rims, 11 inch rears.

Is there any reason to go for either size on the rear?

Thanks.

295 is usual for those, 305 for the wider rears.

I've just done this Windy, I went for 295/30/19's at the back and 235/35/19's at the front. Best price I could find was from Camskill Tyres, £798 delivered.
My wheels are OEM 8J and 11J ones.

You can run 305s on the 11 inch rim, but 295 is more usual. I've got it the other way round: I have 295 section Nokian winters on my 11.5 inch Carrera Sports.

stick with 295 on the rear if that is oem fitment

you don't want to over tyre it on the rear = more grip at rear and less at front

try BEN PATEY on facebook as he gets good deals.

I am a Costco member and sometimes they have bonkers deals on Michelin tyres and do fitment too all included which can save you 60-80 at a tyre fitter.

Both 295 and 305 are OEM fitment depending upon which wheel type the car was originally specified with, so basically whichever you fancy on an 11j rim.
