Yes Terry, but it doesn't tell me what I wanted to know. This is part of a plan to convert my instruments to show either coolant or oil temperature. First part was to understand how the actual coolant temperature corresponded with sensor voltage, and what voltages are required to get the pointer to various places. Next stage is the oil temperature part.

I don't want a digital gauge, I want the analogue one to accurately reflect the coolant temperature. Now that I know the parameters for the standard sensor I can do this, along with enabling it to switch to show oil temperature on demand.
