I only bought it after questioning the mech from the local Porsche specialist whilst the car was having a service on Thursday. He said that although the car only has 59k miles you never know when it may fail.Trantorman said:So own up how many of you have gone and bought one?

All very well to say carry a spare but surely that's masking some sort of design issue still after all these years? Not very Germanic!
I've got a solid-state one from the US - but still carry an 'ordinary' spare I know to be good (when I last tried it)...
