My first proper day out in my gts since I bought it a month ago and just as I was going home after an amazing few hours driving I badly scored the rim of one of my alloys. My teeth were grinding harder than the alloy as I felt it in my bones 🙈. I couldn't bare to look at it as I had a fair idea of the result.

That's minor cosmetic damage, easily repairable and invisible if you know a reputable repairer... Where abouts in UK are you, I'm sure someone will recommend someone near to you?

Any garage can remove the wheels .. you just have to jack it up first .. someone on the brake pedal then undo it .. cant say a refurb guy in your area though .. i think Chris might be a little too far away .
if your opc does wheel refurbs then probably like mine it was an outside repair and not a strip and powder coat .

If it's just a single wheel I'd just post it to somewhere who'd do a good job. Local place to me are amazing. Although you may have a problem where some places will only do all 4 to ensure a perfect match.

Easily done though. As said it's an easy repair. Only issue you'll have is matching the black perfectly. I almost guarantee you'll need to do both the wheels on that side.
I hit the wife's satin black Abarth wheel on a faulty drain cover at the supermarket.
As expected we'd have to have the two done on that side. Given that black wheels are a pain to keep looking clean anyway, we had all 4 done in gunmetal grey.
I obviously wouldn't recommend that change on yours as the black wheels are a defining spec item on the GTS.

Heartbreaking, man! I feel your pain - a bridge near me has high kerbs either side to stop anything bigger than a mondeo crossing it and I haven't been over it for years in anything but my daily (and even then my bum twitches every time)!k11pol said:
The CL's are pretty straight forward (the procedure is in the handbook). I took off my GTS wheels a while ago. You'll need a lengthy breaker bar (and a good breakfast) and an HGV torque wrench (or similar) to torque them up. And some Optimoly / Aluminium paste for the thread. There's a nice satisfying click too when the centre piece pops out so you know they're locked.
As someone said, these things can all be fixed - Porsche should be able to confirm the paint code for the wheels if you weren't going for a full refurb. Hope you get it sorted without too much hassle.
I'm sure there must be a ' Wheel Specialist' in Aberdeen ... I had my Cayenne Winter wheels re powder coated (just an alternative colour ) at Inverness branch and placed another set from my SL as the job they did was second to none. Inverness is only a short spirited drive and I'm sure he told me that the job they do the wheel can be refitted and driven after 3 hours , so arrange it , a long lunch in town and pick up .... hey presto no more sleepless nights ....
As mentioned by others on here,I am sure that Chris at Excel wheels probably does the best job , I have never seen a bad review only ever great views on his work. It would be a courier job though ...
I would also give it the Black sharpie until the repair execution , as that will catch your eye every time !!

Thanks for the helpful ideas I've been that busy this past week that it's not had priority and prob won't do for another week or so but the Sharpie certainly was my first go to last Tuesday.
I will look at and contact a few of the above names once I get the time.
The very next day I was at my local sainsburies and purposely parked miles away from the majority of cars with 2 clear spaces either side and before I even had time to get out my car wallop some woman in a new jag reversed into me 🙈🙈. I'm not having a good start In this GTS but thankfully and more so surprisingly as it was a good thump there wasn't even a scratch.
