Just no, its wrong on so many levels...

I dont think ive ever seen a set of painted (non silver) Turbo twist wheels that looks anything other than *****. Aftermarket wheels - go for it (although I wouldnt) but turbo twists need to be silver :)

I think the best option for standard wheels is GT silver as per 996 Turbo S

I love gooold

Been deliberating same thing as my wheels are a bit rough.
Had these ideas book marked for a while.

Swaying towards the after-market looking the best consensus - in a different colour.

OEM silver when new does look the nuts though..especially on black.

I'm starting to think that too.. Maybe save the silver OEM twists and just buy another set.. More money, typical!

On the GT4 I'd never dream of modifying it but with the 996 I'm totally relaxed. Hypothetically speaking (lottery win scenario!) I'd still keep and have fun with it like people with ***** loads of cash do with the 964 @ Singer..

We can have fun for a fraction of the cost. Do the 3.9l, retrimming with a full bodywork detail including new rubbers and windscreen. I love Singer's but obviously too much money and not as 'everyday" as a 996. I leave mine almost anywhere, anytime and in every weather.

BOT:-

Waiting for the paintshop renders... It's all reversible apart from a little dent in the car maintenance savings fund!

@HSC911 @Hertsdriver - Don't worry I hear you and exactly my sentiments before seeing a few cars online recently like this:-
https://rpmtechnik.co.uk/sales/vehicle/996-csr-retro-csr010/

I love the look of that as an alternative to something new and generic. It actually interests me more than say a stock 997.2 for the same money because it's individual. A marmite choice!

I'm probably going to 🤮 myself when I see the paintshop and wonder why I ever thought gold/bronze was a good idea! Then again maybe not, I really like Mat138l's car, but that does have aero kits and non OEM. Gut is telling me thin spokes is the way forward, but on a C4s hmmm?!?

Coullstar,

Will bear that in mind, thanks for offering :thumb:

Well, here's what it could look like. It's an older photo before I had the MO30 and new MPS2's fitted but you'll get the idea...

 or :nooo:

Marmite! Haha..
Cheers,
BK :thumb:

I think it could work....

Maybe add a couple more gold touches? Wing mirrors and possibly, a thin gold pinstripe or small gold lettering on the bottom on the wings)doors just behind the front wheel?

I do agree that "thinner" wheel spokes carry it off more effectively than thick ones.....

If I had a Lotus, I'd have JPS colours in a heartbeat, with a tiny bit of bright red as well.....

Can you get the picture re done with Weiss Gold? (Very Pale hint of gold)

Before fitting My AG Ruger Mesh I wanted to have them finished in either bronze or copper but couldn't find a dark enough bronze to my liking, in the end I found black copper. Maybe it might be another option if not Lamborghini have a nice bronze colour I will see if I can find a picture.
