Cracked lcd on instrunt cluster

Hi Doug,

There are several reputable independent dealers (most advertise on here), but outside of these I would be extremely wary of buying a 911 without having a PPI on the car first. RSJ have a nice set-up in Slough, but you will pay a significant premium from any specialist. My advice would be to to take your time and you will find the car and spec you really want.

If you have your heart set on a 4S, I did spot this one -

The car is at a bmw main dealer so that gave me a bit more confidence, but I can't help wonder why the display is cracked, so wondered if it was a common problem.
I am guessing not.

If its at a main dealer, get them to repair it before you buy it. You should also get 2yr Porcshe Approved warranty.

From a BMW dealer? I suspect not🙄

Thanks for the help. There was a nice bit of reading there as well. So a gen 2 would be the preference. I'm still thinking I'm at the very very bottom of gen 2 money but it seems do able. But I'm thinking it would be worth finding one and it would probably hold its value better.
The carfor me would be a Garage toy (of sorts), replacing the 1967 Porsche 912 I have just sold. I have to many old cars and looking for a weekend car that me or my wife can just get in and drive and my kids can fit in the back (there young).
I will keep on hunting and researching I think. The funny thing is I have always enjoyed buying the old cars as I understand them and can work on them. But buying one of these puts the fear in me 😄.
