I agree. My 996C4s is a better drive than my old 964. Aircooled will always sound a bit better to me and have an awesome instant bite when accelerating, but I definitely prefer the 996 having driven it everyday over the last 15 months (12,000 miles)
Absolutely no chance of me wanting to change it for another 911 in the near future. My plan has always been to upgrade every two or so years and work my way through all the 911's.. But the thought of selling this next August, too soon. Love it!

Funnily enough I did exactly that in 2006, from a 993 Targa to a 996 4S. A spectacularly rubbish decision financially! Interestingly though, the 4S is the only model of car I've ever sold, then missed enough to buy another one a few yrs later.
