Fitted black Ruger Mesh wheels

MarkC4S said:
My car looked good in it's yellow wrap with the Porsche "Sport Design" wheels in silver; but after a while I began to think it would benefit from a more purposeful and less pretty look. Thus I decided to fit some black "Ruger Mesh" wheels.

Thanks to Phil for his advice during my deliberations; last week I drove down to Projex near Bristol to have them fitted

Look great, good work :thumb:

Nice guys at Projex, only a couple of mins away from me, I use them for fitting tyres on my other cars...... not sure if they do CLs but will probably leave them to the OPC anyway.

Out of interest why didn't you get the sport design put in black, it would probably achieve a similar look.

I do like those wheels :thumb: big improvement over the sport design IMHO

Agree, similar look, but I specifically wanted the more concave or dished-face look.

Mark, great love pic 14 , did you need spacers looks like they fit really well . now in my usual way I am going to say that based on pic 14 a 991 front lip on your bumper would look perfect :floor: :floor: sorry mate but I cant let the spending stop there :floor: :floor: :floor:

Straight fit with no spacers or tuner bolts etc. Now stop it, pennies staying in pockets for now :D

thats interesting I thought the rugers used tuner bolts like my vertini magic so its just normal bolts ,did you need slightly longer ones or just reused the ones you had :thumb:

I wanted to have black bolts and Projex supplied them FOC; can't comment on their length, but imagine standard in that regard. Projex really are a top end outfit, very impressed by them, so thanks for your recommendation.

AgrIll go with that , it looks far more meaningful with a pronounced ' inward' concave curve.... did the same on my 'S' with BBS CHr's....

Black wheels & yellow paint .... perfect combination , cant understand why Porsche or anyone else would put silver on the car ....

Next mod ??

Good to hear your happy with Projex mate , they have always been spot on with me as well :thumb: :thumb:

Looks great :thumb:

Lovely - the yellow and black combination really does look superb!

Thanks for the positive feedback. It is actually quite hard to do the wheels justice in photographs, perhaps its because of the stark contrast between the two colours.

Hi mark, the wheels look fantastic mate :thumb:

I know what you mean by photos not doing it justice. We're all the same  but, it would look so much better lowered and spacered. Or have you got spacers already?

Done my C2S with H&R and looked more aggressive and right.

The roads around by me are littered with them dam humps but the car is ok if I take my time.

Speed yellow looks so good.

I agree lowered would look much better. Ramps and humps are a real concern for me though. Modding is a real slippery slope, I spent 10+ years doing my Fiat Coupe and think I got it out of my system. 997 is so good out of the box mods not necessary (but of course nice to have). I think I'll ruminate on the lowering for some long months... No spacers as offset means arches are totally full.
