What did you buy your 997 this week?

That is a mega month, what car do you have and are you going to increase the engine displacement while it is being done?

It's a 2005 3.6 Carrera (manual), I thought about increasing to 3.9 while it was being done but wanted to keep it stock - I'm pretty happy with the performance and didn't think it was worth changing it from standard for 300cc.

Got the car back post-rebuild a couple of weeks ago and it's running better than ever - very pleased.

Fair enough, do you know the price difference (approximate) between a normal rebuild and a 3.9?

Sorry, I can't remember and don't seem to have that info in my emails. I'm sure if you give Grant at Hartech a call he can let you know.

Some Gen II BMC filters, ordered ages ago, finally turned up last week

But they were cheap on CP4L @ £105 with extra discount :)

Ordered myself the PIWIS II as I couldn't find, what I would class, a normal used price for a Durametric pro.
Time to see what this baby can do :D

Received my momo wheel and CAE shifter.

Calling around for quotes on fitting.

ZunSports fitted and new plate relocated.
:)

Any zoomed out pics of the whole car with the new plate location?

Major service + plugs etc, front coolant crossover pipes, heat shield, front diff seals and TopGear bypass. Happy days!

As with most phone captures it doesn't do the sound justice. For the money it's a great mod that can easily be reversed.

Yeah they were £116.98 pre-discount took me a while to figure out to go to their performance side of the site to order them, otherwise the only one listed is for the GenI

This week I have mostly been adding GT2 wheels to my Turbo.... Also had a service at OPC Bristol. Happy, but lighter in wallet!

Porsche carbon tip knob :hand: don't go there Phil :floor:

My mate picked it up for me state side last October, he just got home to Yorkshire and dropped it in today. Extra bonus he won't take the money for it, what a great guy :thumb:

Just deliberating on having whicked change the grey plastic surround to red to match my other red bits :?:

Anyway well worth the wait I think.

That looks top notch & I love the little Porsche emblem hidden away, cool!
More food for thought!
