Just bought my first Porsche

I have started on the refurbishment programme, starting on the door cards using a leather kit from Glipton. Very pleased with the results but it now makes the rest look tired.

Unable to upload photos any clues why.

Is your photo size to many pixels? You're restricted on megabytes for photo uploading.

as Alex says nipper theres a size limit on the forum ,go ti resize and make sure the largest size is no more than 600 pixles then try a preview and if its attached then submit it. :thumb: :thumb:

Had a good run this weekend covered around 350 miles without incidents, a couple of niggles have come to light, first the heater fan sometimes make a whining noise, the rear bumper heat shield rattles like mad when pulling away and the current radio is rubbish.

Going to buy an Apple play double din system but will need to move the A/C unit to the lower position, any tips on how to sort the rattle and fan noise most welcome.

Do a search on line. The heater fan is easy to change and about £70 from ECP but expensive from Porsche. Mine is a facelift car so you can take out the glove box, it may be a little harder on earlier cars.

Do a search on here for both items, lots on Double DIN units but facelift cars are a bit harder with the MOST fibre optic system.

If you have a Facebook account I can really recommend joining the Porsche 996 Carrera Owners Group. Currently nearly 4000 members from all over the world and a font of knowledge about this specific model and no abuse is allowed so we won't even ask about your snack preferences ;-)

Welcome, Nipper. I can concur with what Peter said about the FB page although I do constantly abuse him. He seems to like it

Leather trim

I have now done all the Graphite grey trim but it now shows up the rest. The door handles I guess are Metropole blue but the seats and lower dash is a light grey any one know what the code would be so I can order some dye.

Thanks.
Doug.

This weekend decided to have to trip down to Cardiff, car went well and returned 25.5mpg.

On the way back saw that Bicester Heritage had a Scramble meet on so decided to stop and have a look. Had a good chat to guys on the TIPEC stand and looked over many different models.
