Talk to me about steering wheel spacers

At 6'4" my left knee can clash with the steering wheel when changing gear.
I know there are options to improve this, such as a smaller steering wheel, however I like the OEM Multi-function wheel, and don't want the top of a smaller wheel to obscure the dials.

I have seen on Rennlist a guy in Italy who sells spacer bosses for 997.2 airbag wheels, including PDK wheels, that comes with an extender cable for the loom. I haven't seen one suitable for MF wheels though.

There's also a couple on porscheshop.

Has anyone got any advice/experience?

Also, is it irritating having to reach further for the indicator stalk :?:

Thanks in advance.
James

I've got one of the Italian chaps spacers, ordered it but never used it in the end- you're welcome to try it, if it's a one type fits all deal (I have a 996).
