315s on a NB 997

Does anybody have any experience with 315s on a 997 C2S. I currently have 295s on my E88s but since they're 18x12, the tyres are more stretched than I would like.

There is tons of room under the arches still, just wondering if there are people running 315s on a narrowbody 997. I probably have 20mm to play with.

305 + 15mm spacer would be the easiest to source to fill out your arches.

I agree with Frank, 305s then fit whatever size spacers you need to get the stance you want. :thumb:

The problem I have is finding 305s in 18". It's difficult. Ideally a 305/35/18 would be great but they just don't exist in anything worth having.

I want something very track orientared i.e R888/AD08R (which is what I currently have but they don't go bigger than a 295).

Cup 2s are 19"+ so I'm struggling!

Actually : you seem to be answering your own question there. The answer to this is to get yourself a set of track wheels to either suit 996 GT3 fitment 18" (235/40R18 & 295/30R18, so 8-8.5 & 10.5-11 widths for which Cup 2 and many other options are available) or standard 19" 997 sizes. There simply isn't a decent track tyre that goes on a 12j 18" rim, so you are kind of looking for something that doesn't exist and isn't going to change. [Side effect of the size basically being of use to the small number of 996 GT2 owners and pretty much nobody else in the world, so it is Pirelli Rossos or the now practically vintage design Michelin PS2s].

I'd get some 1" narrower inners to reduce them to 18x11 and use a spacer as above...you could likely keep your existing tyres then :thumb:
