"Gen 3 glasscoat" for £665. This is already discounted by 20%. Is it worth doing on an 8 year old car? The car has some Porsche decals on the side doors, would these have to be taken off, and perhaps re-applied for the coating to be fully effective?
Tyre and alloy protection - £665 - allows up to 8 alloy refurbs and I believe 3 tyres if they blow over the 3 year period. Worth it or not or should I just suck it up if something happens?
Gap Insurance - £500 for 3 years (seems good to me but others may differ)
and lastly, is it worth having the clear wheel arch protectors applied, Ive seen some with, some without and am open minded.

So, having dipped my toe in Porsche waters for the first time some 16 months ago with my purchase of a 986S, (I wanted to see how much use I would get from having one) Im getting ready to step up to 911 ownership.
Ive looked at the most suitable thread to pose a couple of questions to those more knowledgeable than me, so rather than start a new thread, this seemed the most appropriate.
So, the car is with an OPC and a 2010 997.2 with a few toys.
They have done the 111 point check and I saw the invoice for just over £4k to put it right, even down to a charge for a couple of bolts!
The warranty is for 2 years, plus 2 years assist.

I just now need to get over the fact its about £10K over what I was going to spend, them offering less for my 986 than I wanted, etc etc but when you are in love what can you do!!!
I would be grateful for any advice. Thanks in advance

So, still no phone call. Is it me being just bloody minded but is an OPC really that busy that they can ignore a c.£50k cash deal?
Many congratulations on the new car, and health to drive. :lol:Norm said:Deal done, paid up, collected and car now tucked up for the night. Huge cheesey grin all over my face! Never had a red car before, looks awesome. Thanks for the advice.
