Daily driver 20 months in... 35,000 miles under her belt.
Epic performance through all the seasons, no issue with the snow and icy conditions. It's been faultless, literally... have had absolutely no problems whatsoever, no dealer repairs or complaints, squeaks or rattles. Purely the windscreen from a unfortunate stone chip over a year ago.
Running costs to date:
10,000 mile oil change £315
20,000 mile service £485
Porsche replaced windscreen £100
Tax disc £220
30,000 mile oil change £315
@33,000 miles first set of front tyres, 2nd set of rears £1,000 (can't believe that original fronts lasted 33,000 miles!!! benefit of a light car)
Totals approaching 2yrs of a 991.2:
£1,600 of rubber
£1,115 of servicing (£630 of my own choice of oil change)
£220 of tax disc
£3k Insurance (business use and parked on street)
So, £6k for 2yrs of 40,000 miles of glorious 911 grins. Fuel is working out about 28mpg, but i get a fuel card with work, so i purely pay tax on that... circa 3,200 litres of fuel in two years would be £4k of fuel so circa £1,600 tax paid on that.
Bargain!!! the man maths is working out so far... the residuals at 80,000 miles will be interesting if i keep to 4yrs
The only thing i'd replace this with, is another new 911. I'd possibly go for a targa next, if they did in a 2wd car, but don't personally fancy a 4wd 911. Possibly get the glass roof next time, is the only thing i could thin of that may want different... i'd be happy with exact same spec again, all the options have worked out awesome. Such a practical car... daughter now 6yrs old and loves it. Trips to the DIY shop and the local tip always with ease.
I'm so glad that i went for the base Carrera 2, it's frickin awesome!!!
