Evening

As anyone any recommendations for European breakdown cover providers for a 17 year old car

Off to Le Mans in June and would prefer some cover...but most off the obvious candidates don't want to insure a car this old !

Cheers

Does your insurance company have an associate that they use?

I added European Breakdown Cover for the remainder of my insurance policy year.

+1

I'm with Tesco and they will add European breakdown cover at anytime during the policy. When I renewed this year, the person I dealt with even gave me a tip. He asked how long I was going for. I said 12 days. He said OK, you have a two week cooling off period when you take it out. Put it on when you go and cancel it as soon as you get back. You'll then have free breakdown cover. Obviously can't cancel if I use the cover.

Cover is easy to add but check the small print... My old van (used to shuttle crap back and forth from my villa in Spain) is now not covered as it has had it's 16th birthday.

Some of the companies I called said they would give me a policy but only admitted that I wouldn't be covered once I specifically pointed out the age of the van... PC
