Sid85 said:Phil - you are a fountain of knowledge. I've acquired the fascia. And you're right it's a different colour. Thinking of having it painted black
The problem I have is - will updating my 997.1 Triangle MF wheel to a 991/cayman wheel with MF require a new module and coding? It seems like a lot of hassle.
Phil 997 said:Sid have you a manual or tip box , if manual its highly likely you wont need the newer steering control module if its a tip then yes you probably will need it . they are £230 from the OPC plus the coding cost.
as your already programmed for MF hopefully this should be a straight swap and no piwis recoding needed. I would try it first before going to the cost of painting etc. if your painting it and want a OE soft touch finish then wicked coatings can do this . Chris (silvermilnec)had his done like that you could pm him for a bit more info etc.
Phil 997 said:you need two new springs , the ones in the bottom of the wheel about £1.30 each from OPC and also add some silicon grease to the three tabs on the side of the airbag :thumb: :thumb:
Phil 997 said:Thats a new one on me mate, all the wheels and airbags should be interchangable between models for that style of wheel.
did they try another airbag in your car just to be sure its not the arbag thats faulty thats needs doing before you do anything else to eliminate a faulty airbag before going for other fixes. :thumb: if it is the airbag faulty you have rights to return it through ebay.
