964 Celebration Restoration - Rise of The Silver Surfer

Cheers fellas👍

Good point first job on the list🙂

Well done sir, nothing wrong with a wide ass!

Jim currently in the good company of Fatboy and he's talking over giving the old girl some additional fettling :thumb:

The story of trying to negotiate with a German who has a celebration engine badge for sale is a cracker. Clearly the jonttt enumerator has been in play as he wont budge on a price that is near twice the price of buying through local OPC :floor:

Honestly if anyone has a good air-cooled and wants to sell speak to 911 Virgin. They sold my 964 C2 in less than 30 mins. Similar with my old 993 9m RS and 3.2 Carrera. All reference examples. Their sales team a machine.

That's the second if not the third time they have had it. Prices have flattened a bit as I think it was over £100k last time.

They've not mentioned the buyer will need a wheelbarrow or trailer to carry all the history files and records :worship: Bulletproof provenance from the start. I made a good one there 8)

"25Bags certificate of authenticity"

it is a good 'em, you did well :thumb:

911VIRGIN sold my Mexico blue GT3RS virtually straight away- definitely a good place to start if you are selling a decent Porsche.

Here are a couple of pictures of 304 back when I owned her between 2007 and 2011.

I added a few bits to the file then, replacement cam etc.

As much as I love my current car (991.1 C2S) I have always regretted parting with the Jubi.

Its good to know she lives on and is in good hands.

Andy, Small world! And indeed I have your original for sale advert in my old folder of receipt/invoice scans. You bought it from eporsch then? I bought it from the chap who bought it from you (possibly a trader working from home?) who didn't do a lot with it and leaving it outside in all weathers didn't help. :nooo:

If the new owner finds the car through here and needs copies of all the work and receipts etc then I think I've got most of it, but I should think the sale of the car will be accompanied by several weighty volumes akin to the Encyclopaedia Brittanica

They were a lot cheaper back then when 25 bags was my limit for air cooled and your buyer ultimately made a loss :what:

Actually, I bought it from Finlay Gorham and sold it for pretty much what I paid after 4 years of enjoyment.

With all of the work that you did on it, I would have bought it back for the price it just went for at 911Virgin, euro millions payout permitting.
