Just seen this thread, well done for sorting Ben :thumb:
If it was me and funds permitted, a Turbz would defo be in order now.
I would try and source the best example I could for circa £30k - there are a few out there trust me. Higher miles of course than the lovely miles C4S you had the troubles with but should be a fairly safe bet with the Mezger lump and any possible future appreciation.
You could then look back after a few years and console yourself that what you lost on the C4S you have gained and probably more on a Turbz - all the while having more fun driving it.
By comparison I have been lucky (so far) with mine but I live in fear of major failure and in hindsight was pretty ignorant to the common issues armed only with my limited IMSB knowledge at the time :frustrated:
GOOD LUCK MATE whatever you do and drop me a PM if you end up back in a porker bud, hope to see you around
PS. Fair play to you for naming and shaming and publishing your reg. As you know I am dealer based but it never fails to amaze me that these so called prestige dealers and specialists do not abide by the basic principals of consumer legislation choosing to bury their heads in the sand. Distance contract for starters and what retailer in their right mind sells a car with faults on the basis the customer sorts them?? Discount or no discount - irrelevant, we are the professionals! Shame on them, you shouldn't need a PPI if purchasing from a retailer especially main dealer/prestige franchise :x :x :x
If you haven't already done so Google Review, Facebook Review..
Cheers Brett mate :thumb:
I intend to continue looking for new pork unless something else comes up that ticks more boxes but I'm not sure that's possible! considered a few other offerings such as an R8, AMV8 etc. but it needs to have rear seats otherwise it will rarely get used. I wouldn't want to regularly take off out on my own and not spend time with my little boy.
I've got a few possibles at the moment. Another 996C4S which I'm viewing on the 16th, and a nice 997.2C2S manual. My head says the 997, heart says 996.
My old car I don't think sold. From what I can see it is still SORNED and hasn't been re-taxed which leads me to believe it's still sat in the hands of Stratton. Time will tell....these cars are not bought by every day buyers now, but almost always enthusiasts so I'm sure the car will reappear!
