PPI recommendations - Coventry area

Back in the day I PPI'd 3 996 C4S and all three were suffering from bore score.
Looking back now I do wonder if over cooling from the turbo radiators was a contributing factor.

Autohaus Werkshoppe are Porsche specialists in Holbrooks I have found them to be knowledgeable and fair.

To be honest I would forget the whole thing. I don't doubt that you've had a bad experience but the paranoia is set in.

I take some comfort to know that I'm not the only one with your view.
But its the OP's choice at the end of the day.

you could always try Peter Morgan:

Peter did two PPI's for me - the first one was from a dealer and, on inspection, it was clear that the car had had a very poor life, though it too looked stunning. He did a full 24 page report on it for me.... made eye watering reading. He rang me shortly after the inspection - if you look back at my posts you'll see the saga and the support that i got from everyone on here. I was at a conference on the day -he rang me and said have you got a pen and a piece of paper and 10 mins to talk; 30 mins later i was still writing and my heart was sinking further. He advised me on the phone not to part with my hard-earned... enough said.

He then did a second one for me from Portiacraft - in fact I was in London on the day he did the inspection and I went up to meet hi. Thoroughly nice man and an absolute knowledge base for Porsche 996's; he was just finishing off the review of the car that I now own - he told me there and then that, while it would take him overnight to get the report typed up and back to me - it was one of the nicest 996's he'd ever seen and he thought it a sound investment.

I paid £22k there and then with my debit card and drove the car home. Not looked back since. That was 30k miles ago, almost. I've enjoyed driving her every day since.

This doesn't guarantee that i'll never get bore-score. If i do then i'll just ensure that i don't thrash the tits off it - i'll drive it for a few years more then take it to Sid at PT and get him to do a full rebuild and then drive it for another 100k+ miles. :thumb:

Can't recommend him highly enough. PM me your email address and i'd be glad to send you a copy of the report I had done on the first car - you'll see the level of detail he goes in to. (He didn't waste his time and my money on a boreascope on the first car as it had already failed his inspection in his opinion)

Edited: forgot to say that he does a mobile service; the furthest he went for me was Derby/Staffordhshire border... Give him a ring and he'll tell you what he can and cannot do; ask him about borescopes/bore-scores - he's an absolute mind of information and really helpful on the phone

Hope that helps Chivs m8
