996 early C2 - Ownership/project thread (cobalt blue)

Want some alloy ones?

Wheels should be with me on Friday. Ordered my centre console delete from OPC, not sure on the small plastic section part number. I have 98655224102A03 but it only said black. Seemed expensive for a small bit of plastic, not ordered that yet.

Regarding the rear spoiler I spoke with Clubautosport on there ducktail and might go that route now however going to wait until after clutch etc is done just to make sure any hidden costs will be covered on that first.

Having some thoughts of going grey centres on the wheels or maybe just grey petals and leave the other bits black. Quite fancy trying that in vinyl first to see how it looks as it would cost about £5 to do.

OMG! Has nobody noticed the truck in the background of the picture of the first car with the ducktail!!!???

I'm not normally a fan of making changes to the original spec of a car, but both the wheels and the spoiler really look.

Thanks for the offer C, but I'll be wanting the proper ones for my year which are the grey plastic ones. Although I was almost swayed into some carbon fibre versions last night to match my seat backs. Exact copy of the originals but in carbon. Maybe a bit too bling though.

The centre console delete piece is black plastic. Some people colour code it but even on my old GT3 with red centre console, the factory left it black so that's what I'd do.
Porsche tax again, as I'm sure it's £50 isn't it?? I'll be needing one soon as I managed to find the carpet piece in light grey to match my carpets.

I had noticed that van.

Reminds me of that well known valentines message.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I've got a knife,
Now get in the van.

Wheels here. Quick test fit and all good. They do look slightly smaller but I'm sure once tyres are on and it's down it will look fine.

Excellent. Silver petals for extra excellence. 8)

Very very nice. Can't wait to see it on its tyres and back on the ground.

Silver petals will make it even more retro but those are mighty fine as they are. 8)

There on, look good. A lot better than the photos show. Work well with my colour I think.
Was misinformed about centre caps so OEM ones don't fit, need a 70mm clip.
Front seems to be sitting a little high but I do have no petrol in it.
