Guys

Anyone know a good place to get wheels refurbed anywhere near Bristol...??

Trying to get them done before Dinsleken

Osh, what about Chris at excel on here :thumb: I have used the wheel specialist down here, but have read reviews that as they are franchises some are better than others. :thumb:

Oh yes Osh and exel will also give you a set of loan wheels to keep you mobile while they are being done :thumb:

Porsche Chester use The Wheel Specialst at Ellesmere Port so they cant be bad.
If its just one wheel The Wheel Specialist will complete it in one day if you drop the car with them at 8:30 it will be ready by 16:30.

Price is very good based on wheel diameter. I think 19" wheel is £80 and less for 18" wheel.

OPC approved bodyshop can refurb and give you a courtesy car for the duration of the refurb.

Plenty of choice for this service.

My local lads charge 65 squid a wheel and I personally guarantee you can not fault their work. They will only do all 4 though as they swear you can not match alloys. Getting one done is ok for Stevie Wonder.

A few months ago, I had them look at my wheels. The guy said he couldn't do my centre caps (metal caps with enamel badge). Quoted me an relatively un-competitive price and said get the caps done elsewhere!

I assume the guy is Greg at TWS Chester. I was at his premises back in 2016 when a customer came in asking about her Mini's wheel that had buckled with an impact on a high kerb. He plainly told her it was not repairable rather than attempt a fix. The customer was distraught and said someone else had said buckled wheels could be straightened - the response was he would not attempt a repair.

So I guess sometimes, it is good that someone states if a match is not going to be possible for whatever reason. The customer then has a choice.

Not every damage is repairable and not every paint job can be matched every time. But as far as I know OPC Chester still use TWS.
