Cost of Ownership after 4 years

Yup, most 996's have come up in the last 4 years.. Some of the rarer models, such as the C2/C4S/Turbo have come up quite significantly.

The 996 C4 narrow body is actually rarer than any of those you've mentioned. :floor:

That will be every modle apart from the C4.
bit OT but why is the C4 so looked down on but the C4S is the hero. they both drive the same.

They don't.

4S has wider track, wheels, 10mm lower sports suspension. Its also heavier and slightly slower than a NB, but feels more focussed.

Also it represented good value at the time, with the sum of the parts coming to less than the upcharge over the 4 so it sold well.

Its not that the 4 is looked down on, just people go dewey-eyed over wide-body 911s.

My C4 at the time also had some extra goodies thrown in for free:

PSM, clear light pack, revised M96 engine, unique 'platinum' calipers and some other stuff I can't remember.
