911uk discount at Top Gear exhaust, Bridport for GROUP BUY

Alex, I'm interested in the 200 Cell Sport Cats. I have a 2004 996 40th Anniversary with the 3.6L and X51 engine option (these came with different headers). Will the 200 Cell Sports Cats fit without any issues? Also, I read on Rennlist (https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/979349-group-buy-redux-996-997-1-na-200-cell-x-pipe-4.html) that once the cats are installed the existing O2 sensor wires are too short and people get around it by swapping the bank 1 sensor 2 with bank 2 sensor 2. Has TG resolved this issue? Thank you

Assuming no, erm, low speed farty drone, like £199 eBay set on ex 2.7 986 :hand:

I'm after a set, Mild Sports Silencers, 996 C2 996.1. Thanks

:floor: :floor: the only low speed farty drone linked to the word topgear was Jeremy Clarksons voice   :thumb:

I cannot believe my rubbish timing as i took delivery of my Top Gear mild sport non cat set uo two weeks ago.
For info they are a very nicely made product and the service from the guys at tg is first rate.

Sound quality of the mild sport option? Just what i personally wanted. As my street racing turbo nutter days are behind me i was just wanting to free up a slightly sportier and gruffer sound, without shattering windows or making a long drive hard work. Cheers rick

I had the x51 headers on my old 997 and the CATS fitted fine so I guess the 996 should be the same. The O2 sensors were quite tight and just fitted at a stretch but I bought the CATS in 2014 so I hope they have adjusted the hole location by now.

Interested in the valved sport silencers + 200 cell sport cats for my 3.8 997-1. I understand there are tow options, mild and gates from hell as I do not see that option on the site

Rob the valvetronic set up allows you to switch between ""stealth" and "gates of hell " at the press of a button. the vid in the link below is exactilly you set up your asking about and the car in the vid is forum member shabs 997 S , I also had the same set upon my gen1

My time for exhaust work is finally here! Been contemplating Design, Milltek or Fister for a sound upgrade. Top Gear has a good rep and good prices. Count me in for some Mild Sports and 200 non-x cats, please.
Mike

I get this feedback in about 1 in 80 sales of these cats. The design has not been changed. We've not been able to replicate the issue when we fit them locally so i'm unsure of its a particular variant or if people are being over-cautious getting the sensors to fit. Bear in mind this is probably our second best selling part across our entire range, first i've heard of it was on Rennlist.

As for fitment they will fit perfectly, we've had a 40th edition in our workshop a couple of years back.

Hi Alex,

I have a 2001 996 C4. In early 2016, the previous owner (Chief, who is well known on here) bought and fitted TopGear Sport Sound mufflers and was happy with them. He then fitted TopGear manifolds and noticed that they got very much louder. I like the sound most of the time except there is an quite unpleasant resonance between 2000 and 3000 rpm. Is this normal? Would your quieter Muffler help? Any suggestions?

Feel free to PM me if you'd prefer.

Cheers,

Tim.
