Project 997 turbo to GT3R widebody street conversion

Iby now I love it even more, had a look at your build pics and didnt realise from the rear pic in the thread the engine cover and spoiler are unpainted carbon looks great and a good call on a road version to fit the smaller spoiler , the huge one might be a bit much for the road, busses might hit it   and liking what your doing with the bonnet as well :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I got the kit from Vaddesign who source from Germany. Yes hoping to get out to some events later this year :thumb:

I helped instal a similar Vad kit on my friends car in Dubai. We had to make new frames for the radiators as the wheels wouldn't turn as they were so wide.

The OE GT3R spoiler is absolutely huge! and imo wouldn't look right on a road car, hence why I have added my own little touches.
The carbon engine cover and spoiler contrast well against the basalt black and if my car was any other colour I would have painted them.

Yes the front rad brackets do need modifying otherwise the tyres will foul. Do you have any pictures of what you done?

Yes I agree, the one your using looks much better for a road car and looks good in carbon finish :thumb:

I can't find any, was over a year ago. I remember that we moved the side rads right up to the bumper crash support bar and fabricated new brackets out of sheet metal. I think the angle of the rads was more flat. Took a few hours to mock up one side then it was all easy. We also has to move a few sensors in the wheel well.

This is the car below... Not really my taste but he's happy with it.

Ah now this may fix a question I have , on your mate car he has the same rear wing as mine and he also has a rear window top spoiler/defuser , which I had on my gen1. I want to fit the same to the gen2 but was worried I wouldnt have any rear vision as its already quite restricted with the wing , did your mate have any rear view issues or can you recall him commenting about the rear view. :thumb: :thumb:

He had the same problem, he had extenders fabricated.

Hi Guys,
Been following this tread with great interest as I'm currently in the early stages of my build. I got the bodywork from Albert Motorsport in Germany. Can you advise what whee / tyrel sizes and offsets you have used?
Regarding the front radiators, I have fabricated New inner arch covers and offset the radiator brackets. Will this be enough. I have measured clearances and it looks as if I might get away with it. Advise please.
Suspension. Coilovers or air ride?
Look forward to your comments.
