Loss of 1st Gear

Hmm, a gearbox to rebuild. Sounds fun. Send me a PM when you come up with a price. I really have no idea but A good basis would be what you paid for the replacement minus about what it would cost to fix it.

So the new box is silky smooth, much nicer to use throughout the gears than the original, commensurate with it having a very low mileage.

Good news, :thumb:

Any thoughts as to what my G96.00 1998 box with an LSD and 144k miles but in need of a rebuild might be worth?!

I had a fully working and recently rebuilt 3.6 gearbox with LSD on ebay for around a year and I only ever got a couple of silly offers of around £400, I think I had it up for sale at £1100 and was considerably cheaper and better than any others for sale on there. I was surprised it never sold.

Unsure what to value a box in need of a rebuild but the LSD (will also need a rebuild) will maybe help it sell. Might be worth seeing if one of the (Porsche?) gearbox specialist will take it off your hands?
