Hi. I am a new author to this forum. I still roamed around here quite a lot during the "creation" of my 911 ST. Thus, i want to present it. Well, and because i have to sell it again - dont ask.
I bought in in 2015 as a 1978 SC. The previous owner had built in a mad engine which was completely rebuilt and delivered to him from "supertech", California. It is a tweaked 3,2 L Engine to 3,4 L producing lots of power (no exact number unfortunately). My initial concern with this was : would the transmission (915) withstand this power + would it be drivable in a calm manner. The answer so far - having made roadtrips to portugal and many other places throughout europe - it is amazing. No troubles whatsoever The transmission runs smoothly.
As the Engine was not matching the car, which to many Porsche Collectors makes it already a Frankenstein, i decided to make it look like from a James Bond Movie. If JB was indeed german and drove Porsche. I decided to keep the Silver and had the ST Look rebuilt by a Porsche - Garage . To the fullest:
Interior: backdatet the Dashboard and dash trim and heating. Basket weave Seats, Light Weight Carpet +++++++
Exterior: Steel Fenders in the rear, Carbonfiber in the front + Carbon Fiber Hoods. (Weight app. 1000 kg).
ST / RSR - Muffler + original Heat exchangers adding even more hp
Well all in all a very expensive and lenghty process. But i think i have been rewarded. Now 1 year later my bank account still has not recovered, whch is why i sadly have to sell it.
Sadness aside, i really want to share my car with you guys, as you have helped me through the process without even knowing.
Cheers, Simon.
