M&M Exhaust Purchased - late Santa arrival

First up, a thank you to Stuart, Daniel, Mark Turner and Adbett for answering my PMs and sharing your experiences. This helped a great deal.

After much consideration and finally my wife demanding that "I just make a decision and buy something!" I decided to go down the M&M route. I usually take this approach when I want something car related.. Bore her to death with the options until she demands I close it out and move onto something else... Like match of the day.

I digress...

With regards to the ordering process I liaised directly with Katja at M&M who was extremely helpful and immediately understood my concerns regarding track day noise limits.

Rather than mate old with new, I opted for M&M manifolds plus the M&M street silencers along with their custom X-pipe which incorporates additional mufflers after the cats.

I couldn't fault the ordering process at all - Katja and I finalised the invoice on December 19th with UPS knocking on my door this Monday. Very impressive taking Christmas and NY into consideration.

I am hoping to install the system this weekend along with new drop links and roll bar bushes. Wish me luck!

I haven't linked from photo bucked previously so I hope this works.

Thanks,
Matt

Hangs head in shame ...
Matt, I must apologise, I saw this post and it rang a bell. A check back through my emails shows you emailed me early in Nov asking about the M&M exhaust options.
So sorry I didn't respond, glad you found other board members who were more helpful than me ! ! :thumb:

A word of advice, don't bother with Photo Fuckit, they've trashed millions of excellent forum threads with their greed.
Use imgur instead :

Slippydiff, no trouble at all.

I may have reached out to you on a less polite car forum... You know, the "Mumsnet site" with a sprinkling of car related material. So I won't take it personally :p

It's a great forum here with plenty of genuine car enthusiasts.

Thanks for the tip.. I'll take a look at imgur.

All the best,
Matt

I am seeing a strange error when I attempt to embed my album from Imgur, so here is a link to my progress on day 1.

The factory system is now completely removed. I am trying to hold back the inner detailer in me, but I will tidy up the light alcoves and wheel arches to prevent corrosion. Someone has kindly wax olyed the arches in the past.

I was happy to discover RSS toe links and poly bushes on my journey... My drop links however are quite tatty and the pair I ordered from Euro car parts per a previous thread are too long at 18cm vs 16cm (for the existing pair).

Tomorrow I will remove the factory muffler hangers because M&M supply their own which are different.

Despite the cold the job went well with no seized bolts or rusted studs. Mr angle grinder and mr drill have remained stored all day!

Time for a cuppa a few celebratory biscuits.

Matt
