When I was looking for a car i travelled and saw lots of 993's advertised. That's when I realised terms like 'immaculate' and 'full service history' were in fact subjective rather than statements of fact. From memory, every car I looked at bar one and the car I bought, had missing service history. A year or two with no evidence of annual service and perhaps an unquantifiable story about how it was laid up, barely used for.. xxxx or taken abroad for a period. A fair few cars had a stamp in the book but no corresponding invoice. This was the norm rather than exception. Finding total, from day one, provenance which has been kept and passed on between owners for 20 years plus is uncommon.
