pcbung said:Hi All,
I took the plunge after waiting nearly a year, I've placed a deposit on a 997.2 C4s Cabrio 86k miles, 2 previous owners, £36k with 4 new Michelin tyre's.
It's had 3 services from OPC and 1 service from a Porsche specialist, last service was OPC for 2k which including replacing some corroded pipes.
Looking at prices I think I've paid about right, most cabrio's going for about 44k with around 30-50k miles on.
What do you guys think?
pcbung said:How much is the warranty? I've been thinking of doing it but my OPC in Sheffield never replies!
Found it on another site
breakdown 12 month 24 months
Warranty £660 £1270
Porsche Assistance £169 £275
111 Point Check £216 £216
Total £1045 £1761
Shall I get the 111 check done before I collect the car? £1270 isn't bad at all for 2 ye warranty!

I thought the warranty costs were double that amount?? In my head I had about £2200 for 2 years. Great news if I am wrong as mine is up for renewal in Feb.
Other than VED, Insurance and petrol, mine has cost precisely £0 to run :?:MNC911 said:You are correct, it is £2200 for 2yrs. That includes a 2 year European cover and hotel, onwards travel car & vehicle delivery once repaired etc. So it's not a bad price for how fragile and costly these vehicles are to run and repair.

Rear shock leaking (covered under warranty)
Wheels were completely out of balance (only had new tyres fitted Friday!)
Strut tops coming Wednesday and the drop links are covered under warranty so getting both of them done too.
