Audi A3 - options for 3 or 5 door, top quality interior for long motorway trips and can spec up to whatever your budget will allow. We are on our third as general family workhorse (bought with our own money, not a company car) clocking around 20k a year and keeping for 5 years, never any major problems. Can even go 4WD if you fancy. Ours is 2.0TDI and plenty fast enough although the RS3 does have it's attractions!! Servicing at main dealer can be a bit pricey though to be fair.
Cheers

+1. Or even better get the 7.5 Golf it's actually even better.

The days of the ultra cheap lease deals have come to an end.
high miles and lack of care will mean a expensive bill at the end of the lease as the co's penalise you on refurbishment costs.

If your good lady fancies an SLK theres a lot of 2 year old ones on the market as Mercedes had a cheap deal 2 /3 years ago, ( £1000 down , £299 month, but 8,000 miles a year)
they were £30,000 cars then , now they're £17,000 retail.

One of those in 3/4 years time even with 80,000 miles must still be worth £4?£5000

finance one via Jamie Garside a member here, serviced by a local specialist, pop a private plate on it and no one would know it was used? 250 diesel should be a cheapish to run motorway car and she drives what she'd like rather than rep mobile

If she is going the company route for a new car then I think that the tax situation these days mostly points straight to a petrol hybrid. There seem to be a hell of a lot of examples of the BMW 330e on the road at the moment and that is likely why. I think that parking sensors are standard, but there is also the full surround view on the options list.

If she struggles with parking then she really ought to be thinking about the smallest car that meets her requirements though - the requirements given are a tad self-contradictory...

Check on company policy first though. Company car allowances often come with restrictions, and particularly common ones are (i) 4 doors and (ii) not more than 4 years old (sometimes 3, so 3 year old ex-lease may or may not be a viable option). That needs to be clarified before drawing up a short list as she could end up deciding on something and then having the firm veto it and put her back to square one.

Thanks for the continued posts and advice but this thread is now two years old. She's been sacked from the job and we are no longer together!!!
