My main issue with the car is 5 owners and 55k mileage, im totally sold on the aero i love it coming from a wide arch Escort Maxi :)

Just cant get my head around the pricing 45k no warranty well they offer a warranty with a 1k limit so thats as much use as a ***** with no holes.

Think i will keep looking for a low mile 2 or 3 owner

Kev, with these cars its not unusual to find 5 owners remember the value of it new . you often find this

1st owner OPC who preregistered the car to hit their quota from the manufacturer for the kickback they get for hitting targets.
2nd owner company car driver taking advantage of the few grand discount as its preregistered he will only keep it 3 years max and hand it back.
3rd owner the guy looking to get into current shape model porsche but that has done some depreciating.
4th owner the dealer that car is traded into
5th owner the guy who had it before you.
this is a very common picture in high end cars

re the ride height really not an issue the only thing that sometimes scrapes is the front lip and that's flexible so takes a lot of scrapes before it needs changing and they are £185 ish to buy so really its a consumable.
that's the only way to look at it.
Problem is lots of guys trying to run these cars when they only have a ford focus budget , YOU JUST HAVE TO ACCEPT these cars are very reliable but you do need to spend a bit on them as and when.

The accepted mileage for a Porsche is 7 to 8k PA So 55k on a 7yr old cars quite ave.Not sure why in this country we have such an obsession about mileage I dont see it anywhere else , its not the 1970s modern cars are made to do hundreds of thousands of miles.

The price is IMO a few grand high especially as its not coming with an in house 1 or 2 yr warranty like the well known specialists do. personally I would be saying to them you pay for the 2yr OPC warranty and 111 point check and I will pay the asking. as then your in the right ball park. unfortunately for new owners these cars are steadily going one way in value.
and it is a very well speced car with a factory aero.

Thanks for the detailed response I am really sitting on the fence but love the look of it.

This is a forum member at Donnington this year, forgot his name  hope he doesn't mind me putting a pic of his car up but it does look great, especially in Black.

Hi easternjets, that's me at Donnington, and no problem at all, glad you like it :thumb:

Nice car, your rear spoiler looks more like GT2 than Aero though

Love the Aero kit, makes the car look like it should and far more aggressive.

:thumb: :thumb: I've been wanting to get an aero kit for ages but just can't quite justify the expense... think they look awesome though :)

I can only assume that Porsche created the more aggressive front and nice wings we find on all the GT and Turbo cars and are available to those that like them to allow a clear definition between those that like big wings and and a more aggressive look and der Sonntagstreiber.

Yes, rear is gt2, front is porsche oem aero, lowered (eibach) and 15mm rear, 11mm front spacers. 8)

Hello OP, FWIW, i think the aero-kit makes the otherwise hum-drum looking 997 shape have a bit more street presence if you're after that sort of thing. I know I would be. On launch, the 997.2 aero-kit was an approximately £4k option and revised from the aero-kit that was offered as an option on the 997.1. I heard the owner of a Carrera 996 with aero-kit once remark how the car felt exceptionally stable at 160mph; i am presuming a similar experience with a later car.
