evening

Thinking of fitting a Maxton front splitter to my 997 C2S, any one had any experience, and got any pictures please

I had one on mine a few years ago, It looked pretty aggressive although a bit MaxPower :D

They are quite bulky so they catch at times - thats fine at low speeds but I eventually ripped half of mine off at some very high speeds! 8)

Shot of it first fitted and one of it half ripped off!

Hi, this is the splitter on my car, I've not had any problems with it, I've looked into loads of other types but this one caught my eye and does look aggressive at the front... when you fit the splitter you would use the bolts provided but I also applied Tiger Seal along the rim and the bolt together, sets like cement and won't come off is what you want!! You can paint it if you want but in left mine as it came cos the theme of my car is Grey and black!!!

Highly recommend the Maxton unit for a standard PASM setup. Never catches on speed humps but care needed when entering driveways with sharp inclines. Easy DIY fix as well and can be done with bumper in place - I've not used any glue to help and has not moved in the last year.

It's taken 3 hard hits (all driveway entry and exits) and showed no sign of any damage. Have had to learn to park further back from curbs as no chance of clearance.

Brought one several years ago and sent it back personally I didnt like the quality, although for the cost its pretty good, but I just wanted a better quality but ended up paying a lot more money for it. :thumb:
