agree I wouldn't be happy with that!Roro said:That looks as if it's been twisted somehow? Reputation is everything, he'd probably rectify at no cost if you asked him to correct the issue :dont know:

I'd rather get DesignLS to do it, the work they've done on my interior is first class. In fact I'm still toying with the idea of getting an OEM one from Porsche (I know I need to see a doctor).

Anyone had theirs done in leather and made thicker?
Pictures would be great so I can use it as a reference.
Cheers guys.
I went to visit Royal Steering Wheels last week, nice guy and showed me several examples of his work, all looked very good. I always felt that my wheel felt a bit thin, especially as I drive a BM during the week and am used to a much thicker wheel. I also replaced my worn gear knob and gator recently and now my wheel and handbrake cover really let the interior down!
I wanted to keep a fairly stock / OEM look and Jack at RSW recommended a very slightly thicker wheel, only about 1 - 2mm, otherwise I would loose the character / look of the standard wheel. I am also going for black nappa (smooth) leather on the top and bottom, with perforated on the sides and OEM dark grey stitching (similar to the pic below, without the grey panel at the top). He is also doing the handbrake cover in the same style.
Mine is a Gen1, round airbag wheel. I'll post some before and after pics in a couple of weeks

Hi Tony, your steering wheel, gear knob and hand brake looks real nice, can I ask how did you fit the handbrake cover on? Does it slip on?
Cheers

I had Jack at RSW fit mine
However, it is only glued in place. Remove the sliver press button, which just pulls off. Then twist the cover from side to side with a very firm grip (to break the glue seal), whilst pushing it forward and it just slides off. Jack made it look very easy and removed it under a minute. Hope that helps!

Here you go, contact info above.
I had already replaced my gear knob, so RSW did my wheel and handbrake cover for just under £200 including fitting. Which I think is very good value!
They also offer a postal service which is on their website. Also loads of pictures available on there too! :thumb:
