Veedubbers

VW's have been my mainstay since I started driving. Worked my way through many Golf Gti's and had 8 Corrado's. Highlight was my VR6 Turbo Corrado with a GT3582r pushing out around 380bhp. Was such a hoot and managed to drain the tank in about 75 miles on a trackday!!

Now only VW I have is a T5 Shuttle, probably the best overall vehicle Ive ever owned. Love the way it drives and so versatile for family stuff.

If photobucket wasn't so f***ed then I could have put pics up of my old Mk1 Golf GTI/mk4 Anni (had 3 of those!) and my fave car ever - my Polo 6N.

The Mk1 was the 'one I wish I never sold', 1983 sunroof model but had EVERY bit of paperwork from 1983, spare key, buyer handbook...everything!!! :sad:

He,s my daily in work yesterday on its 800 miles slog over the next 2 weekends
From South Wales to Essex to have the 996 box rebuilt.
Good old work horse never let me down in 5 years apart from a drive shaft. clicked onto 185k yesterday pulling 2 quarter tones car and trailer.

 
Gone - Golf Country Chrome.

Still here - 1303LS Karmann Cab.

Plus many, many more over the years.

Some lovely VW's there.

We have VW t5's for work, and have found them to be brilliant. On the 1st, we took delivery of a new T6 - what a pile of cheap rubbish! If you are thinking of changing, my advice is dont!

My other interest is older Vw's this is my 6th Syncro (4x4) T3 and whats called a syncro 16. Very rare and an appreciating classic. Doesnt look much but ive spent over 7k on the engine & transmission!

Many moons ago i did my apprenticeship with VW Audi, so im able to work on these, no lap top required!

VW

My starter car was a 1984 VW Golf 1.3C three door which was so basic that it had one wing mirror, an AM radio, four speeds and 55hp. I went everywhere in that thing, up to Scotland and down to France. No pictures though. I'm sure you can picture it as red, with skinny 175 section tyres over steelies.

My wife now drives this, a 2016 GTI with 5 doors and DSG. Quite an improvement. Edit, now that we're back, it's now running 'grigio corsa' OZ Leggera's with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s and a custom remap for 299bhp and 335 lb/ft of torque. :bandit:

I spotted this rare mars red GTi parked up near Preston a while back.
