What did you buy your 997 this week?

Since getting my GTS in May I've had a lot on with work and hols so not managed to do much to the car let alone drive it but with a bit more free time I've managed a few purchases. Apologies for lumping them all together...

TPC DSC - a 5 minute fit and to me makes a big difference to ride compliance. I've not had a chance to play with the programming but may do in the future.

Ceramic coating - Gtechniq CS Black and Exo. I know some people doubt the efficacy of ceramic coatings but I'm liking it so far!

A carbon fibre Flying Ducktail rear spoiler (www.flyingducktail.com). Not one for the purists I think! Not sure about this one, it seemed like a good idea at the time. I still need to have it painted prior to fitting but will give it a go and see how it looks.

Zunport grill - I tried fitting and can't get it to fit, the instructions are terrible so I'm not sure if it's my incompetence or just a bad fit.

Finally some black rear badging... my car is basalt black so I'm wondering if the black will give a 'stealth' look. I'm not sure to go with the whole Carrera 4 GTS script or just GTS. Or perhaps is will just look naff!

Some nice bits there :thumb: re badge maybe 911 GTS or just GTS black is stealthy or Red looks good on black cars. , Zunsport I also don't love, I dont like the way they fit externally and you can see the edges much prefer rennline internal fix ones a bit more hassle to do as its bumper off but a better look imo.
that flying ducktail I thought looked nice when I first saw a pic of it. :thumb:

Surprised by the Zunsport issue. I have them on my 997.1 and the one thing that I noticed was how well they fitted. :?:

I would get in touch with them just in case it's a misfit/bad batch or something.

Given I've only had it 2 weeks -
Clay mit
Trix zinc / tar remover
Meguires polish / trim and leather cleaner
Autosol for exhaust
Touch up pen

Now just need a nice day to get to work!!

It's shortly having new PPF arch covers and rear qtr. tints

I do think looking at that photo of yours the black ones are far better than the silver ones you cannot see the outer frame as much. and the middle one I cant see any edge frame on that looks very good. :thumb:

It may just be me. Perhaps I should have used a bit more force but I didn't want to damage the paintwork. :dont know:

Painted door spears fitted today , great paint job by wicked coatings :thumb:

Are they not general wear and tear items?

Expensive to replace?
