997.1 to 977.2 Steering Wheel Upgrade

Update on the horseshoe bit...

To follow up on this, something I never tried after fitting the new horseshoe.

I've since found out that the headlight washers & rear wiper don't work.

Also, on Durametric it sees a fault as its looking for an auto box, so its obviously looking for the original car.

It appears that there is nothing I can do with Durametric to try & code it as theres not even an option of that.

Anyone on here know if this can be changed at a dealership or with PIWIS?

Clanky, it needs a vehicle handover performed with PIWIS - it can be done on certain systems other than PIWIS - as I got a local specialist performance car shop to do it - not sure what their system was called, although they do a fair bit of work on Porsche so have what is needed - it certainly wasn't PIWIS though.

If you have heated seats you may also find they don't work, its often the options that the car can forget it has after the battery has been disconnected for a long period of time.

Thanks for the info.
Looks like its going to be another expense to my local OPC to finally get this sorted out...

:nooo:

Try an indi or two first - i paid £10 into the tea fund at the local specialist that did mine and they aren't even a Porsche specialist - they are a general performance car specialist - and it certainly wasn't PIWIS they used - nor was it Durametric either!
