Hi all, long time lurker in need of some help please.

I have a Dension Gateway 500S which I've installed via the back of the PCM,
however I'm not having any luck getting it to work.

I've rechecked the usual suspects - dip switches, direction of fibre optics,
and have the unit running directly off a battery for test purposes.

My suspicion is that the unit is not powering up.

My question is should I see any LED indication on the connector port
as soon as the unit has power, regardless of the other connections?

So far, I have not been able to get the LED to do anything, either in
active or bypass setting.

Thanks in advance.

Dension 500S question / help - part II

Well, partly answering my own question, but still needing help

The unit needs power and the loop running. The good news is if I do
as the guide says and install the unit in the frunk, all is well. Except
that the BT signal doesn't reach the cabin.

So, can anyone offer advice on how to get the unit working by inserting
into the loop before the PCM?

Thanks again.

I have the installation instructions as a PDF if that helps although you mention you have a guide, I have one lying in the garage to fit along with the DAB unit I have read previously the unit need to be at the back of the pcm for the BT to work well.
