Gone for 16 days -- disconnect battery?

I opened mine up for the first time in 14 days today. I'd read this thread yesterday but force of habit meant I clicked the fob first, nothing, then I opened the door with the key, all good for access.

However, when I sat down the alarm went off, immediately silenced as the key entered the barrel which I was in the middle of doing anyway.

Still, started first time, so no biggy.

leave it connected

Hi,

Please leave the battery connected, also where do you live and when are you leaving for your holiday???

haha

If your battery is good then you should be fine.
I went away last year for over two weeks and left mine connected. It goes into sleep mode to reduce power consumption after 5 days of non use. Only have to use the key first to open it then use the fob.
If the battery is not relatively new or shows low voltage give the battery a charge prior to leaving.

p.s. I do not leave my car keys in the house whilst we are away on extended holidays - do not want to be subjected to a 'two for one'!

Regards
Glen Wells
