Valuation for potential private sale

Lovely car Matty, bound to create some strong interest.

Have you had the fan painted or powder coated under your ownership?, lifts the engine bay nicely, which colour did you go for?.

Point of Order, A 'bag' is £1k

I think you actually mean "one and a half Zingaris" :judge:

I do of course refer to the fabled "zingari". It would be like leaving the EU or the collapse of society should it happen, but there is a sniff of a chance of perhaps a glimpse of a deal to be struck here...

Just wondering what the current exchange rate is for Zingaris?

Following a Brexit vote

Trump 'uncharge' of the USA
General election in the UK
Massive swings in the Bitcoin,
and rising inflation
I can't find the exchange rate on the Dark Web, Bloomberg or the FT

I have just had a look at similar cars for sale. OH MY GOD the firesale has started. 14 cars advertised plus some more with POA. Is this the start of the crash and some sense coming back into the market.I have never seen as many cars for sale at one time in the last 3 years. And they are on at
£52450 72k miles
£48500 107k
£54950 109k
£49995 124k
£52995 112k
£33500 190k
£46995 123k
£53995 137k
£52500 71k
£52450 72k
£42950 111k
£74995 46k
£45995 104k
£70000 51k
So what does everybody think then. That's a lot of cars looking for a home!

There's a reason they're still for sale as some of the prices are off the scale even by Jonttt's valuation logarithms

Matty you've pitched it well at a fair and realistic price. It should sell no issues and perhaps not far off a specialist trader looking to take it in and take a modest profit. GLWTS :thumb:

Hey Trev, the fan was rubbed down and spray-painted by Bruce of Spider Detailing who did that extreme resto-detail on that 993 a few weeks ago. Did such a good job and have had no issues. The bearing was replaced as well.

Chaps, it means a lot to hear your positive comments on the car. I even have the Zingers seal of approval! I am glad it looks as though I've priced it right.

Madaala I am only selling due to lack of use so I'd keep hold of yours if you it's just a case of itchy feet. Personally I need a toy which I can nip into London in which the 993 is not best suited for. With a young family weekends are not 993 friendly. It's been a blast and the 993 is achingly pretty :-(

I did have my eye on an Aston Martin V8 Vantage but now the wife is talking about moving house so well see. We are looking at thatched properties so who knows; I may ende up spending the 993 wedge on some straw.

I am luck enough to be able to have a pretty sweet deal with my company car so we'll see.

I might have to do one of these threads on my egg shaped Turbo as it does arouse the interest....

So based on those 14 cars for sale:

Average price = £45k

Average mileage = 89k miles

Average cost per 1k miles = £500

So you can probably just price any 993 at £50p per mile travelled and then just weight the figure up or down to reflect condition.

Hmmmmm ....... interesting theory there 993lad ....... though I will await the Zingari seal of approval first before applying it ....... ;)

Actually, on reflection it's a completely flawed theory because if you apply it as suggested, then the cars become more expensive as the mileage increases which is obviously ridiculous.

It is written in folklore by the Illuminati founders, "There's no such thing as an average 993"

Good ones should start at 25 bags

Rumour has it Ridley Scott will be directing "Illuminati, the beginning" as he cant make a worse hash of it than Alien Covenant :?:

A few more.

Am after £33,000.00 so open your wallets chaps as there is no cheaper manual C2. It's not a CatD or a lemon just a sensible chap after a sensible stack of wedge.

That looks a bit too cheap to me. C2 manual coupe with full history for £33k! I'd of thought another £5k would be pretty easy to achieve. I remember one at Ashgood's this time last year that was put on for what you are pitching at – advert was up less than a day before it came back on higher and still sold almost instantly.

Green looks great on it too. Fashions come and go, tastes change. That is a nice colour for a classic aircooled Porsche.

My car is up for sale as you well know, yes it's very slow at the moment shifting a air-cool motor no matter how good or bad.
My car is on ebay along with other car selling sites, up to now my car has had 3850 views with 68 people watching it? Thats a hell of alot of people out there looking at air-cool but not one question about the car from any of these watching? That gives you some indication about the market right now, people just like watching them
To buy one of these cars at the money we ask for them the indivisual has to be really into the marqe and be slightly crazy :puh: in todays world like Chris said you can buy awsome brand new cars now at 40k okay not built the same way but your getting a good few years trouble free motoring!
Anybody like a well sorted Tip for 39950

...... you think that is bad ....... I am at present trying to find a buyer for my property in West London ..... I have several viewings but not even an offer ....... not even a silly offer ........ :nooo:

Seems everyone is nervous about everything ...... :(
