Installed Zenec Nav Unit!

Looks great Kam , when I changed my head unit I also lost the nav and radio info from the dash display but to be honest the ave miles per gal etc info is more important up there and that does not get lost with the install.

I agree the black looks better than the silver unit :thumb:

Steering wheel is an option for the 997 gt3.

Not sure how much new, I bought it from Germany for £550 as new. Air bag £250.

Agree with everyone else it looks great, did you paint the interior yourself too?

The stereo looks really good in black :thumb: and looks OEM too!

You can get the steering wheels direct from Porsche for about £700, cheaper than D911 (then again isn't everything!) £250 for the airbag is a great price!

Yes, painted the rest myself.

Took apart the control panels, left with only the facias

Managed to get a great match!

Hi
My car is 2007, will fit all 997. Had to also change the airbag.
Horn is the issue, did my own wire fix to make it work.

Great job on the retrofit. IMHO that actually looks better than the PCM 3.

Top job...

Are the black units only available in Germany?

and..

What are the details (make and colour code) for the paint that you used?

Did you just spray over the existing finish?

Cheers

Thank you!! 😎

Contact a U.K. Seller via the Zenec website. Just found a black one 3 months old in Germany.
Believe it or not, used Warhammer model spray paint!, match is perfect.
Took the switch panels apart, sanded down painted over existing colour.

BTW, fitted the Sat Nav aerial under the black panel holding the wiper blades.

routed through the grommet behind the battery, works perfect!
