***** missed out on that lol . thanks anyway Rob. :thumb:

Phil (or anyone else) if you were thinking of fitting the ducktail here's the list of additional Porsche parts to do the whole thing (not including the lid itself) -

1 x 997 504 345 01 GRV Rear centre panel (turbo/I756)
1 x 997 504 612 00 gasket
2 x 996 512 987 00 adjusting screw
1 x 997 512 611 01 gasket strip (stick-on)
1 x 997 612 670 70 wiring harness (I756)
1 x 997 631 052 01 additional brake light (I756/I004)

I can't remember all the prices offhand but the rear centre cover was about £100 in 2014.

can you post a pic of the underside of the spoiler please.

Or where the wiring loom goes into the spoiler to get to the brake light?

thanks

RPM ducktail (with a lightweight SPAL fan)

I had to do some adaptations for the fan and light wiring and the air intake duct holes. It wasn't plug and play.

Thanks, ill post pics up of mine once ive figured out how to host them from FB but having a nightmare with it at the moment - wiring loom sent was a 997 loom, i need a 996 loom (nobody realised theyd be different) then the plug on the 997 loom is different to the 996 etc.

RE photos I find the best way is to save them to my desktop then resize them to smaller than 600 pixles as thats the site max then post them from there. :thumb:

I think I'll skip the ducktail, which seems to look a little bit odd from some angles on the modern car, and just retain the original spoiler and shape.

My non-beardy, non-beige, and un-sandalled wannabe Porsche driving friend will just have to get his own 911 if he wants a ducktail so much.

I'll keep the funds for go-faster mods.

thats very nice and quite 991 with a retro feel to it . I like the rear bumper for the gen1 in the pic as well :thumb:

I've got one sitting in a big cardboard box next to me as I type this. It's unfinished and will need painting so won't be on my 997 GTS for a couple of months. I'll post pics when I get it done!
