I am not debating prices between OPC and indys for non-service work.

It remain to be seen what the OPC Fixed Price cost for a Major inc Plugs is this year as prices were revised down from £750 inc Plugs to £730 but no mention of plugs on the website. If OPC are going to charge for plugs in a Major Service on top of that £730 then they will become horrendously expensive vs indys and will have priced themselves out of that service for Modern Classics such as a 996 Turbo. Thankfully, mine did not need a major service this year.

I also support Dyno Mike's remark about the value of the service stamps in a Porsche purchase - what service was done, when and by whom are important considerations.

Totally agree.. people seem to think OPCS won't haggle.

OPC Wolves is a great example... they will match kwik fit for tyres... but also give you a loan car for the day, and a 101 point check.

They installed my cage for half the price the indy's wanted.

Money off the fixed price service.

Parts are always cheaper then d911... always!

I'm not saying all are like that, but ive only ever had good experiences.

I get a 'voluntary' oil change done annually and my OPC charges about £120+VAT for parts (about £20) & labour and I provide the oil.

Given that I don't get any stamps in the Service Booklet since it's voluntary, am inclined to do it myself. However, I suppose the OPC invoice is some sort of provenance in my history file.
