Compared to what though? With fuel, driver? Relative to other ten year old 400hp + sports cars it's not that bad. In the real world cars rarely seem to weigh what the manufacturers spec.

Full tank of fuel no driver

Was the GT3 1395kg dry? In that case I am guessing my turbo weighs more than the 1585kg according to wikipedia :D

Plenty of expensive ways to lose weight. Cheap ones too.....

What's your car's spec, clubsport or non-clubsport?

These car aren't perfect off the production line no matter what anyone says

For a start the factory geo is pants (as you found, I read your CG post :thumb:) and other simple improvements which would save weight and further improve the car would include -

Aftermarket wheels eg OZ (mine save 7kg rear axle, 4kg front axle)
H&S centre bypass (11kg)
Recaro buckets (about 15kg saved from memory)
Etc

It all adds up if you want to experiment a little

If I was doing it all again first things I'd do with hindsight is a proper geo and ditch the OEM wheels, massive noticeable improvement from just those 2 things, it'll feel like a brand new car

So, what wheels you going for?
