I think if mine started playing up this is the way I would go :thumb:
It's available in UK also I believe.

Very interesting, any ideas on costs. Not that I'm currently looking but always handy to know ..

They do 4 different hight options which roughly from memory cost $1300 to $1800 for the full electric conversion kit.
I emailed them, and the reply was
"At this point, everything ships from the states. That said it is not terribly expensive, at $67. I'd be happy to waive the shipping cost should you decide to invest in an eRam kit and accessories."
Kind regards,

So probably better than OEM ones that will break again 🙄

These ones have lasted around 14 years though, the oem ones do come with a 2 year warranty. I was toying with the idea of moving into something else. Ill get this done properly and then either try to use it more or the sell it and hopefully the car stands out as its been done recently with warranty on the items.

Whats annoying is that Porsche have changed something on the ram so the lines in the car now will not fit the new ram so id say you're pretty much forced to buy two and the lines even if you only want to change one.

Ill likely but the kit and then try to sell the pump which is fine and one of the rams which is also fine. No point even keeping as a spare as wont fit the new lines. :frustrated: :frustrated:

His ear s must be burning over in the state's.
Just got this email, regarding UK supplier, quote.
England

RPM Technik

Hertfordshire ENGLAND HP23 4QR

So give them a shout, or order one yourself if you're happy fitting it, I think should be straight forward enough :thumb:

Excellent thank you, I did speak with Greig at RPM earlier but just dropped him an email about this version.

No problem, just be sure to let me know how you get on 😋

I'll let you know which I go for but likely to be oem as the cars pretty much standard.

Easy to forget it was around 100k when new so when some things go wrong like this you're going to pay up.

Ideally i'd to sell some of the old parts of the system as the pump, lines, switches and one of the rams are working.

Might be a good gamble for those who have suffered one ram failure or pump failure and opted to leave as fixed up or down.

Those bloody rams....

Some of you will remember that i removed my 996 Aero spoiler from my car to go toward a GT2 look. Well its about to be dug out of the shed, unwrapped, dusted and sold.

I will be advertising it on 911uk first. Will get some pictures up in a week or so. Its in bassat black if anyone is interested

The spoiler is a safety feature which is why you get a message saying its not working .

Usual cause is a small oil leak and its now not going high enough to trigger the top micro switch.

If its not working at all then its often the relays .. in relay support 2 behind the rear seats .

There is only a codeing option to stop the message but the spoiler needs to be in the raised position for safety at speed so fixing the fault is the best way to go .

Although this reply was said in the kindest way ^^ I beg to differ that it's a 'safety' feature and feel it's just an OPC 'line'.. The oil pump that raises my spoiler was leaking and unrepairable / beyond repair.. So the specialist unplugged it totally and coded it out of my software.. The sum of £700 for a new 1 was banded about and I thought ***k that... This was about 5 months ago and I've done plenty of hoons and been across to the Alps n Pyrenees and hit 3 figures mph wise on the Autobahn since, and had absolutely no problems with regards to handling.. Mark Webber the former F1 driver once said he defied any 'normal' person to notice a difference with or without a spoiler on a road car.. Can't say I can..

Maybe, maybe not. There were quite a few early Audi TT's that crashed spectacularly necessitating Audi fitting spoilers.

I'm sure Johnny Dangerous was trying to become a UK distributor for these electric kits.

I've read a number of reports of people having success with using oil additives that swell the oil seals. Obviously a band aid, but...
