Hi all

I'm guessing this is probably a touch up jobbie rather than a chips away.....does anyone know how to get original paint and the best way of doing it?

As demort says or i think basalt black is the same as VW and Skoda black with the same code - make sure you clean the area well first too to stop any reactions :thumb:
 
I bought a basalt black touch up paint from ebay. Comes with a brush, similar to nail polish, although I used a toothpick and did many layers over few days.

Although maybe the ebay stuff will do the trick at a fraction of the cost.

The chipex stuff looks a bit technical for me!

While I have your attention....does anyone know a good leather repair person who comes to your home around North West London / herts?? I have a couple of scratches in the leather seats, some wear and a scratch on the leather on the dashboard that I'd love to get sorted.

I also have some wear on the plastic side sills which I'd love to get out (rather than replace with £85 new ones!). Any tips?

plus 1 for chipex , will do a far better job than touch up stick and comes with tiny applicator brushes. very easy to use. :thumb:
