Colin and all the rest of the 911uk members. Probably best if I say a few words.
Although my car is currently in pieces, (have found a slight design flaw in the trick LSD recently fitted; not to worry though as in the process of redesign as we speak), I feel I owe a massive thank you to all those that have participated in this thread and offered your words of encouragement, brilliant ideas or simply pushed me on to get the bloody thing finished (still not managed this yet  ).
Getting to this point has involved all the emotions including some I wasn't aware I had. But I am happy to be in the final throws of this project now, with a car that truly and fundamentally is all I could ever wish for and more. I am very lucky to have had the support from everyone here and there have been some real hero's. Even had a very kind IT whizz from here knock up the logo for me completely out of the blue. Our very own Alex Yates was able to come in at the final hour to help out with a few issues (namely sending me over some emergency rations of Warburtons Crumpets)...
A special mention has to be said for SlippyDiff. We have spent many an hour on the phone together, with me sending designs or scribbles/silly ideas and he has always been there with his words of wisdom. He even came up with the name 'CLR'. Absolutely instrumental it getting this car to where it is today. Thank you Henry :worship:
Steve Rance of PH has also been a true gent in offering his support and ideas and many others. Come to think of it EGTE even offered to send me back the wheels I had sold to him, just to enable me move the project forward :worship: Things like this make all the effort worth it. There are so many other examples like this, so once again a massive thank you to you all
Now Colin mentions he has read the article; I really hope it delivers the true character and feel for the car. I don't have a copy yet so I wait in nervous excitement. If anyone else has read/seen the article I'd appreciate your honest thoughts :thumb: Whether they be critical or not, I consider all opinion as part of the process to create new ideas and improve the design.
This is by no means the end. The testing phase and fine tuning is a massive part of the development. I then have the approval stage and still have a few other bits and pieces I'm still considering.
Where this leads going forward I really don't know just now. I would first like some time to enjoy the car and try and learn how to drive it. It is now so far detached from where it all started, it is almost like learning to walk again. Hopefully, in the not to distant future, there will be one or to other independent reviews which, if anything, will give me some feedback and ideas on how to improve the design/set-up if required.
Dicso, thanks for the info about the pics
Looks like I'll have to find an alternative way to upload pictures
