I had a 150mile drive on Friday night (quite spirited ), on arrival around midnight i parked up on the street then realised I was a bit too protective of the alloys and needed to get closer. It only just started, sounding like a dead battery could hardly turn it over.
Left it saturday and on return at lunchtime today it only just started (slow crank). Had a great drive back home in the sun and parked on the drive for a wash. About an hour later it would not turn over. Put it on the charger and 2 hours later it just fired up.
So, is this the well known starter motor cable causing hot start problems? Battery is only a couple of years old.
Cheers
